Editing audio in a video editor

1. Term

*️⃣Timeline

It's a feature you can find at the bottom of the editor page, as shown in the image below.

You can easily use page editing features such as adjusting playback time, duplicating, deleting, and adding pages, which are essential for video production. It also provides audio editing features.

*️⃣CTI

The CTI shows which part of the video is currently playing on the timeline and serves as a reference point for actions like splitting pages or inserting audio.

You can preview all the video and audio you are editing using the play and pause buttons on the timeline.

If you click outside the timeline area while playing, it will pause, and you can move the CTI to the beginning or the end.

💡You can drag the CTI to your desired position, and you can also see the total playback time of the video and the CTI's current position!

*️⃣Clip

The visible area when audio is added to the timeline is called a clip.

2. Editing audio in a video editor

In MiriCanvas, the available audio types are background music and sound effects, with sound effects being usable only in the video editor.

1️⃣Changing audio playback duration

You can adjust the playback length by dragging the left or right edge of the audio clip displayed on the timeline.

📢Please read it!

    • The playback length of the audio cannot exceed the total length of the video.
    • If the total length of the video changes due to page deletion, the playback length of the audio will decrease starting from the end.
    • The playback length of the audio cannot exceed the total length of the audio.
    • The minimum playback length for audio is 0.1 seconds.

2️⃣Changing the audio playback range

After clicking on the audio clip in the timeline, you can change the desired playback range in the left properties panel.

3️⃣Moving audio

You can drag the audio clip you want to move and position it at the desired location.

4️⃣Duplicating audio

You can duplicate the audio by using the More (···) button on the audio clip or by right-clicking with your mouse.

5️⃣Splitting audio

Audio can be split according to the CTI position on the timeline, which shows the currently playing part.

Position the CTI at the desired location, then right-click or click the More (···) button to use the split function.

However, if the length of the audio to be split is less than 0.1 seconds, splitting is not possible.
