Editing pages in the video editor

In the MiriCanvas video editor, you can edit the playback time and position of pages.

1. Term

*️⃣Timeline

It's a feature you can find at the bottom of the editor page, as shown in the image below.

You can easily use page editing features such as adjusting playback time, duplicating, deleting, and adding pages, which are essential for video production. It also provides audio editing features.

*️⃣CTI

The CTI shows which part of the video is currently playing on the timeline and serves as a reference point for actions like splitting pages or inserting audio.

You can preview all the video and audio you are editing using the play and pause buttons on the timeline.

If you click outside the timeline area while playing, it will pause, and you can move the CTI to the beginning or the end.

💡You can drag the CTI to your desired position, and you can also see the total playback time of the video and the CTI's current position!

*️⃣Clip

The visible area when audio is added to the timeline is called a clip.

2. Editing pages in the video editor

1️⃣Setting page playback time

You can adjust the length of the page by dragging the left or right edges of the page displayed on the timeline.

📢Please read it!

- If there are no video elements used on the page, the maximum playback time for the page is 30 seconds.
- If there are video elements on the page, the playback time is automatically set to the maximum length of the longest video used on the page, and it cannot be adjusted.
- The minimum length is 0.1 seconds, regardless of video elements. 😊

2️⃣Splitting pages

Pages can be split based on the CTI position on the timeline.

Position the CTI at the desired location, then use the right-click or More (···) button to access the split function.

However, if the length of the page to be split is less than 0.1 seconds, splitting is not possible.

📢Please read it!

- Splitting pages affects the playback time of video elements.🧐
  - The video on the front part of a split page will have its playback time adjusted according to the back part.
  - The video on the back part of a split page will have its playback time adjusted according to the front part.

3️⃣Adding a page

You can add a page using the More (···) button on the timeline page, right-clicking with your mouse, or by clicking the 'Add New Page' button at the far left of the timeline.

The default playback time for the added page is '5 seconds.'

4️⃣Moving a page

You can drag the page you want to move and position it at the desired location.

5️⃣Duplicating a page

You can duplicate the current page by clicking the More (···) button on the timeline or by right-clicking.

6️⃣Deleting a page

You can delete the current page by clicking the More (···) button on the timeline or by right-clicking.

7️⃣Copy/Paste Page

You can copy the selected page using shortcut keys and paste it to the desired location.
